They tried very hard to ensure aircraft were available for time building and had satellite locations like Provo and Ogden available for those not close to Bountiful which was a huge help.”

“There are some awesome instructors here that I feel privileged to of been able to fly with and learn from. They have a good variety of planes and I had the chance to learn to fly all of them which was a great experience. They have built a management system that pushes students to excel and to achieve their goals as fast and efficiently as possible. Overall I had a great experience, I hope to work here one day since I just finished all my flight ratings! Highly recommend this school.”

“I signed up for the zero to hero program and have enjoyed every minute of it. It’s been awesome having technologically advanced aircraft to fly that have been well maintained and clean! I always felt well prepared for my check-rides and recently finished my CFI despite Covid-19 and the major impact it has had on the aviation industry. I’m currently adding my ME to my commercial license and will then be adding my ME to my instructor license and then my instrument add-on to my instructor license as well. I highly recommend FLT Academy if your like me and flying is your passion!!!”

“I tried a few flight academies until I found FLT. I couldn’t hope for a better place to learn to fly. Make no mistake, they will make you work! But of course that works for you because you learn quicker that way. Great instructors and staff, they are always ready to help you. Great aircraft with good avionics which will get you ready for the big leagues. Don’t have enough good words for them.”

“FLT Academy provided quality flight training in a safe and modern fleet of aircraft. The instructors are fully invested in their students and helping them achieve their aviation goals. I was able to go from zero hours to Commercial in just under a year with an accelerated plan that worked for me. This individualized approach makes FLT Academy stand out from other flight schools that assume a one size fits all model. Training around Salt Lake City also offered valuable experience with different airspaces including Class Bravo, Delta, Echo, and Restricted Areas and MOA’s. I’m confident this has made me a safer, more experienced pilot while providing knowledge I can carry forward into my professional flying career. “During my initial interview with FLT Academy, I was asked what attracted me to this school. Honestly, it was how welcoming everyone was. I had been to several other schools for intro flights, and I always felt like I was just another person coming through their door, I never felt like I was welcomed there.
The welcoming and accepting culture has been the norm at FLT Academy, from my initial impression all the way through my training. They have fostered an environment that allows students to excel by making them feel like family. This culture along with the highly qualified instructors that they employee have made my journey 100 times easier than it would have been at a school where I was just a number.
Throughout my training they have gone above and beyond. If I ever had trouble with something, the instructors, both ground and flight, made themselves available to help me with whatever I was struggling with. I credit this environment with me being able to complete my training at a faster pace than the average school. Not only was I able to complete my training in a brief period but I was able to complete it and walk away with a deep knowledge base compared to a “Pilot Mill” school.
The ability to complete my training in new, technologically advanced aircraft was a big benefit of coming to FLT Academy. I personally appreciated the quality of the aircraft that I was able to fly. I am certain that going through my initial training in these aircraft will shorten my learning curve once I advance to the airlines.”
