Whether your goal is recreational flying or a long-term aviation career, this structured and accelerated training program is designed to build strong, safety-focused pilots from the ground up. With a combination of in-person ground school and hands-on flight instruction, our students gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to earn their private pilot certificate—and take the first step toward the skies.
Ground School: In-Person, Instructor-Led Learning
The program begins with a required, in-person ground school, held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. over three and a half weeks. These structured sessions provide an immersive introduction to aviation principles, including topics such as aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weather theory, navigation, FAA regulations, and airspace operations.
Led by highly qualified instructors, ground school sessions are designed to be engaging and effective, using lectures, multimedia tools, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications to ensure student pilots fully grasp the material. This strong foundation prepares students not just for the FAA written exam, but for real-world decision-making in the cockpit.
Flight Training: Hands-On Experience With Expert Instructors
Once ground school is complete, students transition into the flight training phase, where they’ll work one-on-one with FLT Academy’s experienced flight instructors. Using a structured syllabus, students learn critical flight maneuvers, communication protocols, emergency procedures, cross-country navigation, and other essential pilot skills.
All training is conducted in modern aircraft equipped with advanced avionics, ensuring students are familiar with the technology and systems used in today’s aviation environment. Our instructors are passionate professionals with real-world flight experience, and they provide individualized feedback and mentorship throughout the entire program.
